Big Red Racing’s Practice & Race Bootcamp package is a comprehensive experience that combines the convenience of our Arrive & Drive service with the added benefit of personalized training. This popular package is designed for racers who seek both preparation and competition.
Upon your arrival, we take care of every detail, allowing you to immerse yourself in the racing experience fully. You’ll spend two days training with our expert team, honing your skills and familiarizing yourself with the vehicle and terrain. Our all-inclusive service includes catering, transportation, and accommodation, ensuring your focus remains on the track.
We believe that the best training comes from actual racing conditions. That’s why, after two days of intensive preparation, you’ll join us in the national-level Abu Dhabi Baja Challenge. Compete alongside seasoned racers in a national spec Can-Am Maverick X3, equipped with a roll cage, sport rally seats, homologated seat harnesses, safety nets, and a fire extinguisher. This vehicle is not just built for performance; it’s built for safety.
The race itself is an exhilarating test of your newfound skills. Navigate challenging terrains and push your limits as you vie for victory. Once the race concludes and the award ceremony celebrates the day’s champions, the adventure continues. All Big Red race participants are invited to join a practice and fun drive across the desert, leading back to our Al Badayer base.

- Day 1: Arrive and check in with your buggy, followed by an afternoon training to familiarize yourself with buggy and dune driving.
- Day 2: An intensive full day of practicing to prepare for the race, focusing on fine-tuning your skills and strategy.
- Day 3: Race day – compete in a thrilling local race, showcasing your newly honed abilities, followed by an exploration tour to drive back in your buggies and discover the stunning desert landscapes back to our main base.

MODULE 1
The first module of the Big Red Race Training program is designed as an initial assessment phase. This module evaluates participants’ driving abilities and experience levels, focusing on critical skills like mechanical sympathy, anticipation, and pace management. This evaluation is essential to tailor the training to each participant’s unique needs, ensuring a solid foundation for the subsequent, more advanced stages of the program. This module serves as a comprehensive introduction to the world of desert racing, preparing participants for the challenges ahead.
MODULE 2
The second module of the Big Red Race Training program is designed for beginners and serves as a refresher for crew members. This phase introduces the essentials of desert driving, including dune orientation and basic dune crossing techniques. It also covers crucial aspects of vehicle preparation, ensuring participants understand how to equip and maintain their vehicles for the challenging desert environment. This module lays the groundwork for safe and effective desert driving, providing participants with the necessary skills to confidently progress to more advanced levels of the program.
MODULE 3
The third module of the Big Red Race Training program escalates to an intermediate level, introducing more complex dune crossing techniques and recovery strategies. Participants are also taught essential navigation skills, which are crucial for maneuvering through challenging desert terrains. This module is tailored for those who have mastered the basics and are ready to advance their skills, providing a deeper understanding of desert driving and enhancing their ability to tackle more demanding scenarios in the desert environment.
MODULE 4
The fourth module of the Big Red Race Training program is the Advanced Expert Level. This module is tailored for participants who have a solid grasp of intermediate skills and are ready to delve into race-specific training. It includes detailed insights into vehicle dynamics, advanced driving techniques, and the unique challenges of night driving in desert conditions. This stage is crucial for those aiming to compete at higher levels, as it bridges the gap between being a skilled desert driver and becoming a proficient desert racer.
MODULE 5
The fifth module of the Big Red Race Training program, the Expert Competition/Pro Crew Level, is the pinnacle of the training series. This advanced module is designed for seasoned participants, focusing on in-depth vehicle specifications, sophisticated race-specific strategies, and navigating complex routes. It emphasizes the importance of team dynamics in competitive settings, preparing participants for high-level desert racing competitions. This module is ideal for those aiming to excel in professional desert racing scenarios, offering comprehensive training to refine their skills to a competitive edge.
